Week 1 of half marathon training didn’t quite go as planned I started the week with speed work which involved me running slowly for 2 and 1/2 minutes then fast but controlled run for 200 metres. I did it a couple of weeks ago on a different route. It was great to compare the two runs. I also ran at club twice with our beginners at Sheppey. I’m really excited because this weekend as I’ll be doing a long run with some of our other team leaders and managers.
I’ve also been looking at different types of cross training to compliment my running. I saw an ad for kick boxing but it’s the nights I run at club which is a shame. So the search continues. I’m not a fan of the gym, I’m looking for something a little different.
