FAQs

You can come to club whenever you like, but running twice a week will help you reach your goals quicker. We will also set 'homework' so you can run at home, too! As a member, you can attend any of our sessions, at any club. Anytime.

Your first session is FREE! You can then pay to join us, which is £18.99/month which gives you access to all clubs at any time. Not ready to commit yet? Then Pay As You Go for £5 per session (which will give you access to one club).

We always recommend you check with your GP before you start exercising, but don't worry, lots of our runners feel this way before they start their running journey with B2R. We've helped thousands of people, just like you, to get running. The Beginners Course starts with very short, gentle runs, inside a playground or park space. We will increase these slowly each week, and before you know it, you'll be running 5k - yes, YOU!

It's just the beginning of your running journey! Your B2R Community is here so long as you need us. First off, we'll hold a graduation ceremony for your group, to celebrate your achievements. Then, you'll join our main running club where we will run a variety of 5k routes to put your running skills to good use (and have fun, too!). There are also plenty of longer distance options should you be ready for the next step. Whatever you choose, we're right here for you.

We are a family-owned business, and have over 200 Team Leaders, all trained to ensure your safety and well-being when you run with us. They plan, risk assess and marshal our routes across each club. We also employ Club Managers locally, and hire local venues to host our clubs. We firmly believe in giving back to our local community. We promise we'll always charge a modest price for an exceptional club experience.

Although B2R is primarily for adults, we want to encourage young runners. Under 18s will need to have their own membership, linked to an over 18 who is also a member of the club. Children are welcome under the supervision of a member who is over 18, who will be responsible for the safeguarding of the child at all times when running.

Try to arrive for your first run with us about 15 minutes before the start time, to introduce yourself to the Club Manager and members. We'll then take you to the 'Cone Zone' which is the Beginners' training area. You'll train here for a few weeks until you build up your fitness and confidence. You don't need any special running shoes or clothes, we recommend you wear comfortable clothes which are suitable for exercise, and a pair of trainers.

We have runners of all levels and abilities in our clubs, and everyone is welcome! Most of our beginners choose to continue to run with us

At B2R we have a saying 'Start as a Team, Finish as a team'. Our Team Leaders are trained to keep the group running together at all times using various techniques. You will never run alone or get left behind. Everyone is rooting for each other to succeed, and we always finish together.

We start week one with 1min runs and 1.30min walks, all at your own pace in a safe, secure environment. As the weeks progress, the running increases and we head out on to the road together and before you know it, you will be running 5k! Each session lasts approximately around an hour. Your Club Manger will explain the membership sign up process should you feel Beginners2Runners is the club for you. No hard sell, no pressure, join if you feel we are a good fit for you.

At B2R we won’t lock you in to a contract, but ask for one full months’ notice. Should you be injured and unable to run we do offer a paused membership option of £5 per month for up to 3 months after which your membership can either be cancelled or reinstated at your request. You can manage your membership directly within the B2R App, or by emailing us at membership@beginners2runners.co.uk
